Take your favorite shady into the wintry season with just a few simple swaps. All you need is your favorite beer, blood orange juice, and the Stanley Adventure Happy Hour Cocktail Shaker Set. For a shandy that is full-bodied, but still the refreshing cocktail it’s known to be, opt for a heartier pilsner given the season. A blood orange wheel garnish adds an extra-special holiday vibe.


Ingredients

For the sage simple syrup:

  • 3 ounce sugar
  • 1 bunch fresh sage
  • 3 ounce water

For the cocktail:

  • 4 ounce blood orange juice
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 ounce sage simple syrup
  • 1 (12 ounce) can pilsner
  • Blood orange wheel, for serving

Directions

For the sage simple syrup:

  • Step 1

    Combine the sugar and water in a pot. Boil on medium-high until the sugar has dissolved, about 6 to 8 minutes. Add the sage and set aside to full cool.

For the cocktail:

  • Step 1

    In your Stanley Adventure Happy Hour Cocktail Shaker, combine the blood orange juice, simple syrup, and salt. Dry shake (without ice) to combine.

  • Step 2

    Strain between two Stanley Pints. Top with half the beer. Serve with a blood orange wheel garnish.
