Ingredients
- 1 quart (454g/16oz) fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and quartered, or 16oz package of whole frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup (100g/3.5oz) granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Directions
- Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice and stir to combine. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the berries begin to release their juice and soften, 4 to 5 minutes.
- Step 2
Remove from the heat and cool slightly. Place in a food processor and puree until smooth.
