This Whisky Sour riff replaces simple syrup with honey syrup, also known as “liquid honey”, to add a new richness and depth to the original. The honey syrup adds sweet depth to bright, fresh citrus and the bold, bourbon flavors of Maker’s Mark 46® especially since it's Kentucky made, French finished. The Gold Rush cocktail takes no time to make, but you won’t want to rush through sipping this honeyed riff on the Whisky Sour made with notes of balanced complexity. For the Cocktail
- 2 parts Maker’s Mark 46®
- 3/4 part Honey syrup
- 3/4 part Fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 Lemon wedge or peel, for garnish
For the Honey Syrup
- 2 parts Honey
- 1 part Hot water

- Step 1
MIX THE INGREDIENTS: Add Maker’s Mark 46®, lemon juice and honey syrup to an ice-filled shaker.
- Step 2
SHAKE IT UP: Give it a good shake.

GRAB A GLASS: Strain over ice into rocks glass.
