Paper Magazine's Super (Duper) Market
If you live in New York and you love superlatives, this food market is for you. The food-and-art-focused Paper Magazine is kicking off what it calls its first annual pop-up ‘alternative food market.’ It’s a super-store, it’s super-fun, and it’s known as the Super Duper Market. Lucky New Yorkers can head over to West 16th street anytime from Friday, July 13th to Sunday, July 15th for live demonstrations, fresh produce, and artisanal goods from more than 50 small producers from the east coast to the west, including Tartine Bakery and ice cream genius Humphry Slocombe. Paper Magazine compares indie food producers to artists - which we think is apt - and is dedicating the Super Duper Market to all of them -- those who work toward natural, sustainable, and responsible production. We can get behind that. For all of you not on our coast, there’s always a road trip.
