New Knife To Ease Butter-Spreading, Experts Say
Yesterday, we had a Brit solve the American Pancake dilemma; today, Britain is contributing even more to breakfasts everywhere, this time in the toast sector. A company called Warburtons has developed the newest in breakfast innovation - a butter knife with a heated blade, to make the process of your morning toast easier, quicker, and more technological than before. (Bon Appetit points out that butter should just be left out on the counter to ensure softness, but we’ve never heard anything so absurd. No, not when there’s a knife like this.)Warburtons explains it all, in an illuminating video: the blade heats to 41.8 degrees celcius (no more, no less), or the point at which the ‘country’s top toast experts’ have deemed the perfect butter-spreading temperature. (It makes us wonder if there are tea experts, and oatmeal experts too.) For now, we’re just sad our toast experiences haven’t been living up to their full potential.
