Too Fancy for the Food Show
The annual Fancy Food Show is, depending on your love for crowds and artisanal jams, either the most amazing confluence of people and products ever, or a complete and utter claustrophobic scene. It all takes place in one convention center, the aisles of which are teeming with 2,400 exhibitors, each one anxious to have you try their latest in pickles, cheese, and chocolate. (Hopefully not together.) It’s a place chock-full of fanciness. What is the fanciest food of them all? Find out here. Hint: it’s old, it’s Italian, and it’s delicious with strawberries. Too fancy for you: 100-year balsamico from The Washington Post
