Nothing like it
You’re probably wondering how this bud vase got its dreamy looks, so we’ll tell you. Pittsburgh-based artist Meghan Burke shaped and pinched it by hand, then glazed it before firing it in a local wood kiln. (Wood firing is a painstaking process where teams of people must stoke the flames continuously over several days. The result? One-of-a-kind pieces that emerge uniquely marked by ash and flame.)
- Stoneware
- Finished in a wood-fired kiln
- Handmade in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
These pieces come courtesy of All Fired Up, a very special collection of handmade ceramics, only available at Food52. (They’re wood-fired, so some variation in color and texture is to be expected.) Browse the full All Fired Up collection.
