The 2 Best Apple Recipes for Making the Most of Fall

Take a break from all that apple picking for a hot sec. We have some big news for you.
Last time we talked contest, we were filling you in on the top five contenders for our current showdown, Your Best Recipe With Apples. Then we skipped back into the test kitchen with our peelers (sharp sides down, of course) for another round of trials. We put an ear to the orchard-floor ground for your feedback. And we did lots of taste-testing.
Now, without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to our top two finalists:
It's a battle of the courses: Dinner versus dessert. Savory versus sweet. A roast-y, cheesy salad that screams "fall vibes" versus a cozy, streusel-y cake with brown sugar mascarpone cream to boot. But just because they're in a face-off with one another doesn't mean you can't try both! In fact, that's highly encouraged.
