Two of a kind
Not every candle holder is born out of flames and ash, but these two were. Pittsburgh-based artist Meghan Burke shaped and pinched them by hand, then fired them in a local wood kiln. (It’s a painstaking process where teams of people must stoke the flames continuously over several days, but the results are well worth it.)
