We're thrilled to be hosting (and road-tripping vicariously with) the videos and recipes of The Perennial Plate on their cross-country search for real, good, sustainable food.

We loved tagging along with Daniel Klein of The Perennial Plate (via the wonders of free internet video) as he road-tripped around Minnesota over the past year, highlighting the very best of local, sustainable food statewide -- from foraging for morels to tapping maple trees to hunting squirrels (no joke). Basically, we want to be Daniel, but we'll settle for watching all his adventures instead (see the video above and you'll get what we mean).
Now Daniel's sights are set on the greater U.S. and, starting next week, we're thrilled to be posting a Perennial Plate recipe and episode (shot and edited from the road) every week, following their journey and vicariously eating, drinking, exploring -- and cooking! -- with Daniel and the characters he meets along the way.
One more thing: he wants our help -- if you have tips on people doing amazing things with food (a seed saver? a food truck? an urban gardener?) along his route, please let him know here. And knowing you guys, you'll probably want to host an event with Perennial Plate. That can be arranged, here.
