Here at Food52, we do everything a little bit differently. Think you know how to make banana bread? Try it with cream cheese. Love eating popcorn? Bake with it instead. We like to turn things on their head, rethink a classic. In honor of the warm and cozy season that's very much upon us, we decided to take this treatment and apply it to one of December's classic signifiers: logs roasting in a fire.

But because we're Food52, the logs aren't made from real wood, but bûche de noel, yule log cakes. And the flames? Those are, well, a creative interpretation. Enjoy the video and, more importantly, enjoy the holiday season.
