Love that rim

You’d be hard-pressed to find another pie dish like this one, and here’s why: After shaping and pinching it by hand, Pittsburgh-based artist Meghan Burke fired it in a local wood kiln. It’s a painstaking process that allows ash and flame to leave their unique marks on each piece. (Clearly, the results are well worth the effort.)

  • Stoneware
  • Finished in a wood-fired kiln
  • Handmade in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

These pieces come courtesy of All Fired Up, a very special collection of handmade ceramics, only available at Food52. (It's wood-fired, so some variation in color and texture is to be expected.) Browse the full All Fired Up collection.
